I have been working at L-3 Communications full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Excellent benefits, great employee rewards, and promotion retention and a Human Resource Department that really cares about its employees.

Cons

Allow some parts of the company to run like a boot camp squad. They need to do a undercover boss scheme in some departments.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

LIsten to employees and find out what works best for them. Try different solutions when things just aren't working, follow the same rules that you give out to the employees. Treat all employees equal and stop with the favoritism.

    Good experience but compensation lacking.

I have been working at L-3 Communications

    Pros

I enjoyed working there. Work was interesting, treated nicely and respected.

    Cons

Advancement and compensation. I left after a very disappointing conversation with management after being fed the HR-coached nonsense about "well in this economy we all have to make sacrifices.."

I worked at L-3 Communications full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good benefits and compensation, and once you get your foot in, it opens the door to more opportunities.

    Cons

Been at L3 for over 5 years, but decided to leave due to the bleak outlook in the defense industry. L3 had been on the uprise, but now the CS-West division is facing large phases of layoffs due to over-hiring and overall bad judgement calls from up-top. Hard to say
