I worked at L-3 Communications full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Work/Life balance was solid. Decent perks, a lot of the co-workers seemed nice, laid back atmosphere until layoffs hit.

Cons

Layoffs, looking for reason to get rid of solid employees, most are underpaid, career progression outlook not the greatest

Good people that want to succeed. Lots of opportunity for a proactive person to gain valuable experience.

    Cons

Incompetent management, no career advancement prospects unless you make friends with someone in power, constant fear of layoffs, poor implementation of product management software.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk to your employees more often than just visiting to announce or explain layoffs or furloughs.
