Have no complaints; I needed a job in a down economy and they hired me, which gives me a great deal of loyalty.

Project Manager (Current Employee) Los Angeles, CA

ProsThe benefits are quite good. They have a reputation for not paying as well as other companies but the benefits help balance it out. Plus you work to help people who need help, and that's a good feeling.

ConsSometimes we don't always know where we are going because of external forces, but I feel we will be just fine after Obamacare is all implemented and the dust settles.

Advice to Senior ManagementWalk among and talk with employees on all floors at least once a week.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Director/In Operations (Current Employee) Los Angeles, CA

I have been working at L. A. Care Health Plan full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: The mission, vision and values I believe in. We serve underserved and vulnerable populations in a managed care business model. We are now serving… Cons: -There is very little room for career growth in most departments -The management team is stifled by the executive team in general, communication between the two… Advice to Senior Management: The executives need to look at the management and employee base of the organization and make real… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
