    Pros

some staff are (reluctantly) allowed to telecommute.

    Cons

Management is too short sighted to see the benefits of work from home. IT can not support growing business (large business with very small business way of thinking...computers crash, we are given "recycled" equipment that breaks down...poor IT support), Micro-management and managers w/blatant bullying (have been fired from other organizations for their behavior) are allowed to remain at LA Care and, as a result, excellent employees move out of the company. Poor /non-existent training. company is not willing to invest in the training of its employees. poor "team" environment does not support workers to provide new ideas

    Advice to Management

fire under performing managers and managers who "lead" by bullying. they are a liability! provide leadership training (Franklin Covey Style not Fieferdom/darkages style) ...listen to your employees. they may have good cost saving ideas. Stop micromanaging!!!! if you are not going to trust your employees, we are certainly not going to trust you or support you. respect is a two way street.

Have no complaints; I needed a job in a down economy and they hired me, which gives me a great deal of loyalty.

    Pros

The benefits are quite good. They have a reputation for not paying as well as other companies but the benefits help balance it out. Plus you work to help people who need help, and that's a good feeling.

    Cons

Sometimes we don't always know where we are going because of external forces, but I feel we will be just fine after Obamacare is all implemented and the dust settles.

    Advice to Management

Walk among and talk with employees on all floors at least once a week.
