Very educational and great work environment but dissatisfied with growth.

Assistant Designer - Contractor (Freelance) (Former Employee)
New York, NY

ProsGreat Work Environment
Associate Appreciation
Successful brands (rewarding)
Great learning experience
Great management
Full time associates have amazing benefits package, growth opportunities, and many other perks

ConsKeep freelancers for YEARS without awarding them company discount or benefits
Long hours with no overtime and no paid personal days, sick days or holidays for freelancers
Freelancers do not have the same growth opportunities as full time associates but sometimes have the same or more daily responsibilities. Sometimes freelancers have even been managers of a department for YEARS before being hired full time.
This is a multi-billion-dollar company - they should be able to hire their long-term freelancers.
Very political - be careful who you trust and how you interact with others.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire your freelancers after they've put in a full year or offer full benefits, sick days, 401K, promotion, etc. A successful company is one that values all of it's employees and gives incentives for all their hard work.

Good Start to a Career...but movement is a must

    Operations Supervisor (Former Employee)
    Columbus, OH

    I worked at L Brands

Pros: Good strategic direction, overall good leadership, smart, young, hip company. Work-life balance is fair, you get a significant number of PTO days from start.… Cons: Lacking realistic long-term opportunities for high achieving individuals..."need to wait your turn" in a lot of situations. Dead-weight in many areas of the organization..."lifers" exist… Advice to Senior Management: Develop way to speed up development, promotions, career opportunities for young,… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
