I worked at LA Fitness part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Free membership and there are no other benefits at this job. They will not even discount a membership for your spouse.

    Cons

They expect you to work all day everyday. You only get paid when you train so either you go home when you don't have clients or workout. Driving back and forth takes a tool on gas money. Not worth it at all for the way they treat you!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your trainers more and let them work a schedule that makes clients happy and wall as keeping a balance in their own life.

I worked at LA Fitness part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It's laid back at times and some of the members are friendly. Also not so bad if fellow employees have a good attitude.

    Cons

Very corporate with a heavy emphasis on sales and renewals. The front desk shouldn't be collections. Too many people calling accounts with expired credit cards. Expected to meet high expectations for little compensation. Lots of turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put some work into improving the current facilities.
