    Senior leadership is very accessible and down-to-earth

    Cons

    Extremely fast-paced organization - not necessarily a negative, but can sometimes be a challenge for new employees to "keep up."

    As the organization continues to grow, don't lose the "small company" feeling

    I worked at LA Quinta full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Resources and experienced personel abound at the corporate level. Lots of training and innovative programs.

    Cons

    On-property management has little to no understanding of the sales direction that corporate expects from their sales managers/directors, which leads to a very uncomfrtable work environment. Company also tries to make one sales stategy work for every market. For example, too much emphasis on business transient business in New Orleans when group should be the focus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to your people in the local market. Encourage better relatonships between sales and operations.
