    Pros

Folks at LMI have a true belief in what they're doing. LMI is completely dedicated to government consulting. The amount of experience the average LMI employee has is amazing. Nearly anyone could be considered a SME. Employees are treated well and pay is good.

    Cons

I was disappointed at the inability to move laterally between groups. LMI, by its name, tends to focus on supply chain/logistics problems. But the supply chain is a broad concept. The organization is divided into many different groups, many of which focus on a different area of the supply chain. I did not observe much transition between groups, allowing people a broader experience in the supply chain.

    Advice to Management

With government sequestration likely to highly effect organizations that do most or all of their business with government organization, it is high time that LMI make a concerted effort to develop a competency, even if just a small one to start, in consulting with private or quasi-public organizations. It would be extremely unfair to the common LMI consultant to see their livelihood disappear solely because LMI is too proud to "stoop" to the level of consulting for private industry.

    Pros

They really work at protecting the culture at LMI by hiring nice people. Plus they only go after consulting work that we can do well. Other firms go after anything and send people without the right experience to do the work. They don't do that at LMI. High quality work is a badge of honor here.

    Cons

Traffic around Tyson's & no Metro shuttle

    Advice to Management

Protect the culture of LMI. It's a special place.
Especially compared to the other consulting firms.
