I worked at LPL Financial as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

Lots of work to be done.

    Cons

Long hours, disorganized, high attrition due to yearly lay-offs of contractors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create opportunities for Contract to Perm to retain resources. Train managers to take time to get to know team, even if team is made up of contractors. Stop overworking everyone. Enforce time away from the office (too many people are on email 24/7).

I have been working at LPL Financial full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Autonomy of work, vision of Mark Casady and Robert Moore is appreciated.

    Cons

The corporate vision is not followed by my business unit. Our team does not hire/promote internally, follow corporate incentives (work from home) and has incredibly low morale due to our leader.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure your vision is being executed from the top down. Pay employees better--there are some very hard workers here.
