Pros

Open and transparent culture. Clear decision making. Executives that care and are responsive. Great coworkers.

Cons

The main downside used to be the outdated office space, but we just moved into an awesome new building in San Jose and it is great!

Advice to Management

Company is on the right path, just continue it.

    Pros

the engineers are talented. The benefits are good. The work can be challanging.

    Cons

The bottom line for LSI is the stock price. In there's a revenue shortfall LSI will lay off anywhere from 10-25% of the U.S. based engineers every December or January to make up for it, to meet their profit target. The company has a zero budget process, and do stock buybacks instead of increasing the R&D budget. To invest in new areas they lay off in others. There's constant layoffs and it's not always performance-based. The engineers are scared. Productivity has gone down. The top executives have insulated themselves from the sad reality of their actions and the affect it has had on the LSI community. Does this sound like an enjoyable workplace to you?

    Advice to Management

please have a real conversation with your employees at the next quarterly update.
