I have been working at LSI full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Compensation is competitive and benefits are very good.
Some top notch Engineers who take great pride in what they do along with some very talented first tier Mangers.

    Cons

My only issue with LSI is the continual layoffs (and fear of layoff's) and what appears to be moron's at the upper levels making the decisions. A good example I survived the last layoff (again) BUT they let groups go that were extremely talented. Now LSI is hiring in India and in the US contractors at double the price to try and get the work done because there is too much to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop Laying off people when there is work to do!

I worked at LSI full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Lots of money spent on equipment, lunches etc.

    Cons

Not much in terms of career opportunities, 1-2x/year layoffs, stagnant stock price, questionable business model that results in quarterly "special charges" and minimal bonuses.
