I worked at La Petite Academy full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Kids are great, very clean and up to standards Monday through Friday schedule, holidays off

    Cons

Extremely low pay even for a lead teacher, all money is paid into management. Managers are extremely rude and do not respect employees. Get angry if you are sick and call in. No room for creativity in the classroom, no materials for the room, of you have an idea for the classroom your not going to get to do it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect your employees, don't treat them like dirt

I worked at La Petite Academy full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I love watching the children learn, take their first steps, speak their first words. It can be very rewarding. It's fun to decorate your classroom with the monthly themes.

    Cons

Too much work with little assistance, materials and pay. Directors often purposely over-enroll in order to make more money, which means that it takes longer for the younger children to move up into the next classroom. A lot of gossip. Management seems desperate to hire anybody which leads to a lot of inexperienced workers who quit without notice after short amount of time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer more support to your staff
