No opinion of CEO

I worked at La Petite Academy full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Hours are good, kids are awesome, flexible to get time out.

Cons

Schedule always changes, pay is so little, one day it's Ok to do things next it's not. They go with what best suites their needs at the time.

Advice to Management

Make permanent schedules, so we are not guessing what we are going to do through our the day!

    Pros

Most of the time the parents and co-workers were great.

    Cons

The company, at least in North Carolina, has lost site of an important part of what makes a center thrive, and that's the director. In terms last few years they have lost many long-term, highly talented directors due to the demands placed upon them, and the lack of ability to hire and retain teachers due to the lowering of pay. They have been replacing strong, passionate, skilled and highly experienced directors with very young and/or inexperienced directors who are not ready to handle such stressful, demanding, high volume work. It has become increasingly difficult to hire and retain quality teachers with the very outdated pay scales that are nowhere near competitive. Pay what people what is more competitive with the industry and do not fear hiring educated, skilled, highly experienced directors and teachers and things will turn around for the better. Especially here in NC where our management turnover rate used to be low and centers benefited from experienced directors.

    Advice to Management

Just see the above. Listen to your experienced people and not just your new and/or not-so-great regionals.
