"LPO semi cold calling" call center! Low pay and no incentives! Frustrating & glitchy "EZ claim" software!

Pros

Depending on what department you work in, some people can elect to work 4 -10 hour day shifts and obviously weekends are off like most offices. No babysitting, you work independent in a cubicle. Yay!

Cons

Legal process outsourcing boiler room for several social security law firms around the country! Micro management around the clock, they offer no incentives due to budget restraints but are constantly hiring new staff. Your calls are recorded and heavily scrutinized, constant rule changes in regards to scripts, and time management. Yes it's true that the software they use is very glitchy and crashes several times a day. Floor Management is extremely illiterate. There's really no room to advance with this company ($) unless you have a law degree, or you're an attorney, go figure. They advertise $12-$14 an hour, however they don't pay more than $12-$13 for the bulk loads of work you're assigned. Don't bother telling them your bi-lingual either because they won't pay you a cent extra for that either. They wrote most of these reviews. You're basically "semi" cold calling people who are to some extent waiting for your call and are interested in social security disability information or applying. 30-40% don't want our services or weren't expecting a call from a "law firm" to assist them in obtaining the same social security benefits that your grandpa and grandma obtained on their own. Morale in this office is extremely low due to upper managements lack of team spirit, and incentives.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to upper management is to open up their pockets! Recognize their employees! Lift company morale!

    Pros

It's a Job. Paychecks never bounce. Close to a wide range of restaurants for lunch. It is a clean work environment with a centrally located place of business.

    Cons

Imagine if the popular girl from high school, her sister, the captain of the cheer-leading squad, The Valedictorian and the weird girl from the AV department were put in charge of a law firm.
That's pretty much what you have at LaVan & Neidenberg. It's not really a law firm, more like a call center where the phones are always ringing with people either too lazy or not smart enough to apply for benefits on their own.
The place is run like a school for bad kids. Bathroom breaks are scheduled. Seriously. Video Cameras ABOVE your desk record EVERYTHING you do. ANY Socializing with coworkers is frowned upon, even outside of work!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

RELAX!!! It's only a job. More attention be placed on employee morale than who is wearing what. A happy employee makes a better employee.

    Pros

Great company to work with since I started here at Lavan & Neidenberg. Positions move up quickly to the ones that they see that are willing to work hard. 1 Hour lunch. Hours are great 9Am-5PM and off on the weekends.

    Cons

No OVERTIME!!!! Unfriendly employees... Not enough activies for the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplisments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. Keep up the good WORK!
