I worked at Laika, Inc full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Talented artist who create some of the most amazing work in the industry. A competitive benefit package.
Cons – Human Resource department cannot be trusted. Clicky management team that acts more like a bunch Jr. High kids than professional people entrusted to run a company. Location of the downtown studio is ideal, however the Hillsboro location is far out and hard to get to.
Advice to Senior Management – Get to know who the true talent is and quit holding on to the LOFT. Provide more guidance to new managers. Be honest and upfront with your employees if you want them to be loyal to you. Spread the love and be more fair with recognition and salary.
