It's probably better than working for other fairly large corporations.

    Sadly under-resourced, under-paid and over-worked......

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Laird full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get to work weekends and 14 hour days.

    Cons

Employees leave regularly for better pay. Key positions (purchasing, CSR, quality) do the work of 2 and 3 employees as more work is passed to them. Poorly managed production control. Little or no opportunity for advancement/growth.

    Advice to Management

Close the plant or hire more employees.

  2. Laird is a company that is shrinking. It is a de-grading and demoralizing place to work.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The pay is ok Facility is acceptable The people are great

    Cons

Laird is a big company that acts like a small company that wants to become a big company. Awkward. The management group is in-experienced and often makes poor decisions. Anyone that had vision has left the company or is relegated to minor roles.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are not the enemy. Listen to what they have to say and make them part of the process. They can help to make Laird successful.
