I have been working at Lam Research full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people are great. Decent flexibility with work schedules.

    Cons

Different quarterly meetings every month. I feel like I am always working on preparing on some quarterly meeting to inform management what business change since a week ago. I seem to have of them after the merger. Also, it feel like the company is less focus on long term growth and more on meeting short term Wall Street numbers to justify the merger. Finally, the layer of management increased after merger and they are still hiring higher level managers while laying off lower level individuals who does the grunt work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reduce the scope, scale, or amount of quarterly meetings so people can actually concentrate on growing the business instead of defending themselves constantly in quarterly meetings. Also, if you keep getting rid of individual contributors and hiring senior managers, you will run out of people that do work and lots of managers sitting in meetings...
