I worked at Landry's full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

They give you extensive training no matter position you hold. There are systems in place how to handle different situations. They do promote from within. Quality of life for management is pretty good as well.

Cons

Pay for managers is on the lower side. Hard to get promoted . They micro-manage way too much.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to look at employees that are bought in to the chain and promote more often based on performance. Even possibly having a protocol for GM's to be on the lookout for employees who deserve promotion. Not having corporate constantly micro managing GM's so they can perform better without always feeling pressured.

I worked at Landry's full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You pretty much work by yourself, but help is always available if you need it. You will learn a lot. The offer free tickets to employees for the Rockets, and Astro's games, and half off at most of their restaurants.

    Cons

You will always be busy. Their office hours are 9am to 6pm, I didn't really like that. They are really not flexible. The pay is low, and you really have no were to move up to, so you may end up stuck as a restaurant account forever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give accountants few locations to review.
