I have been working at Landry's full-time (more than an year)

Pros

It is a great atmosphere! There is an in house cafeteria and a small gym.

Cons

Training is sub-par, have to be a pro at the "fake it til you make it" lifestyle. Pay is not competitive and there is minimal chance at an increase.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want more efficient staff, train them. If you want less turn over and more loyalty, pay them!

I have been working at Landry's

    Pros

If you want to work for the biggest, baddest, most corporately controlled employer in the country...this is the company for you.

    Cons

The expectation is to work 10-11 hours EVERY day. There aren't enough managers to support time off for vacations or family matters.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bonus structure for floor managers is a joke. Entirely too much paperwork is required. Nearly impossible to manage the restaurant from the office.
