I have been working at Lands' End full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Opportunity to grow in Canvas environment, as things are still being defined for the brand.
Creative people in work environment.

Cons

Having creative, talented people who are unable to update the aesthetic of the brand as well as changing any types of processes to facilitate efficiency.
Driving two hours a day from the small city of Madison to the remote town of Dodgeville.
Poor upper management that is unqualified and does not harvest growth in their departments.
No investment in individual growth or incentives to strive harder to make the brand more relevant.
Office is outdated and not conducive for creative thinking.
Food is sub par in cafeteria- not many restaurants to dine at besides fast food.

I worked at Lands' End full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Very laid back company with very nice employees. The company is very active in the community and sponsors many local events. Lands' End cares a lot about their employees and their customers.

    Cons

If you are not used to a very laid-back company you may not like the "vibe" at Lands' End. Things can feel slightly disorganized at times.

I have been working at Lands' End

    Pros

competitive pay for the area. Most of the people are friendly. employee discounts are available for cars, cell phones and for all of the companies involved with Sears Holdings. They offer lots of programs to keep the employees physically fit.

    Cons

They do not offer good benefits to the average person working for them. no bonuses. they hire people then give them one or two days a week once the training is over. They make it nearly impossible to car pool but say they are going green.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage more job shares and stop hiring so many people. focus on keeping the dedicated employees working.
