Lands' End – “Ok place, but changed since Kmart and Sears took over”

Pros

Family friendly atmosphere, good benefits and generally nice people. Facilities are nice, the gym is great and the discount is also great.

Cons

Kmart/Sears influence has definitely pushed people towards cost cutting as a solution to all ills - too many vacant positions when I left so those staying were working much harder.

Advice to Senior Management

need to refocus on taking care of employees and also be sensitive to promoting people just because they have been there a while, rather than because of their competence.
