I have been working at LanguageLine Solutions

Pros

Work from home that is it.

Cons

Med. Benefit is too expensive
No pay increase
Can't change work time based on you needs.
Vacation is first come first serve.
No appreciation for hard working employees

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase pay for employees or at least provide good health insurance. Both if both of them are terrible how can you expect to keep good interpreters.One day it will come back to bite you

    Pros

    work at home.
    did i say work at home? that is about it.

    Cons

    no benefits at all. Company is making lots of money but does not pay for vacation, insurance to speak off or sick days.
    Pay is same as if you worked in burger king.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Your company needs experienced interpreters. Your clients include goverment agencies including 911 calls. Interpreters work for a while til they get a better job and you end up with too many inexperienced interpreters.

    Pros

    Work at home--that is about the only thing good.

    Cons

    Compensation is very low even in this economy. The investors who now own the company seem to only be taking profit out of the company. No raises, rates lowered by changing job descriptions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If you don't pay attention to compensation, you will have constant huge turnover. Don't understand why we interpreters don't just work for ourselves and make more.
