I worked at Laureate Education full-time

    Pros

Location, health benefits, and above average salaries (at a cost)

    Cons

If you are looking for a work/life balance RUN. This company will consume you and take over your life. If you enjoy making work your life then this is the place for you. The GPS accounting and finance department is toxic. Everything is a fire drill. They will drain every ounce out of you with no appreciation. They don't care about your health, your family or your time. You are expected to work late hours and on weekends. Don't expect training or guidance from manager. You are expected to figure it out on your own and punished if you fail. Even if you dedicate yourself and the hours but you don't meet their standards, you WILL be fired. Also, there is a great deal of favoritism that should not be tolerated. I would suggest that you look somewhere else for an accounting or finance position if you have a family or want a life outside of work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You will continue to have a high turnover if you don't make changes. The president has said that it is an unhealthy organization. She should set higher standards of management to change the culture for the better or get rid of them.
