I have been working at Laureate Online Education full-time for more than a year

Pros

Great people, quite flexible working hours, salary is ok, when you're a graduate without any experience, HR is very organised

Cons

No posiibilities of development, forget about getting promoted, lack of proper training, it's difficult to get a salary rise, even if you have good results, it's becoming more and more like a call center - smile and dial philosophy,

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't ask your emplyees to speak their mind and then hold their opinions against them

I have been working at Laureate Online Education full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Decent pay, great colleagues, senior management making some attempts to address issues

    Cons

Highly political, hiearchical and top down culture. Poor international knowledge/experience from senior leaders in US head office (business decisions, talent management, etc). Poor communication from leadership, between departments and between teams. Shady firing policies (no communication when people leave, not even to those they worked directly with).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop rewarding highly political behavior. Stop promoting tacticians into strategic positions. Reduce the levels of hiearchy - not everyone should be a people manager. Move away from the model were the highest paid person's opinion is all that counts.
