Pros

Great quality of life, no late nights. One weekend off per month. Lots of room for advancement in the company.

Cons

Lack of hourly labor. Constant cuts to labor budget. Managers are expected to fill in for hourly employees instead of building business.

Advice to Management

Give the stores more hourly budgeted dollars.

    Pros

the food is fine and the employees are friendly

    Cons

managers didnt showed respect to their employees and they were very dishonest.

    Advice to Management

take time to listen to your employees and stop lying to them, if you are really going to give them the opportunity to grow in the company then do it.

    Pros

Love the attention given to me at the orientation and training, love the free meal daily, loved the bread baking class, great holiday party, cool guests and great, organic vibe. There are opportunities to advance, my manager used to be a barista and she gets what I need and gives me support. Great people, love the commitment to organics and sustainability.

    Cons

Benefits are offered, but too expensive - not realistic. Sometimes staff levels are low. Mystery Shops expectations can be unrealistic.

    Advice to Management

Work on getting accessible health care benefits. I'd like to stay and grow with the company, but have heard managers complaining about their health care costs too. Go to Chicago, go to Boston.
