Former Employee – worked at Legacy Health System
Pros – Good use of communication, employee team building, and industry news was always peppered with a lack of consistency and overall follow-through. CEO turnover and change was common and constant but overall, the employee is valued and revered. Salary was good and benefits great but corporate location aged and parking plan non-existant.
Cons – No succession planning, education building, or promotion management done in proportion. Meaning: that the employees, especially nursing, are well taken care of but not groomed for better positions and valued to gain higher responsibility and promoted to management positions. Lots of outside influence related to new executive management, consultants, and service advisors but little in the way or marketing pizzaz, service excellence, and employee recognition.
Advice to Senior Management – Look within your employee base for the excellence you preach. Please be mindful of change, and incorporate your valued and experience managers and employees for ways to save money, promote diversity, and improve excellence. Most importantly, don't change the high performing employee customer satisfaction culture, which the reason Legacy Health has the industry respect it has in the region. If you lose the employees now, you will never achieve the magnet or dominant industry performance goals you have been selling them.
