I worked as an intern for their Intern Investigator program.

I worked at Legal Aid Society as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Really enjoyed the experience: great training, great people, and great experience for those looking to learn more about law while doing tasks more than just copying and scanning documents.

    Cons

Based on my own observations: the staff seemed pretty overworked and if I had done the position for the long term, I am pretty sure it would be emotionally draining.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management seemed pretty involved with its workers and I think they were doing a good job. If anything, I would recommend more programs aimed at addressing any secondary trauma that the staff may experience from the job.

I worked at Legal Aid Society

    Pros

Really fun experience overall, it was a unique opportunity for undergraduates to work in the field and still gain exposure to criminal law.

    Cons

Unorganized, at the end of the day it came down to how much time and effort you were willing to commit to the job.
