Pros

You get to work on projects of vital importance to our national defense. Many projects have long duration, leading to stable work during that period.

Cons

The company is now run by professional managers with quarterly profits foremost in their calculations. You need to find a boss that will look out for you (but there are many).

Advice to Management

Walk the walk with investing in employees. Make that investment, and good things will follow.

    Pros

It's a solid company with good PTO accrual. I was able to complete a masters degree program completely paid for by the company.

    Cons

Raises and pay are below industry standard. I am currently interviewing for another company at a $10k/year increase in pay. Healthcare benefits took a nosedive the year Obamacare took effect. Premiums went up while coverage went down, and I now have a ridiculous

    Advice to Management

Figure out that when you give realistic raises and pay at least industry standards, people will stay instead of leaving to get the salary they deserve.

    Pros

Great at allowing employees to improve the business and bring big, bold ideas to the table. The original foundation of technology still persists as does innovation.

    Cons

Seems to value longevity over productivity, which frustrates some younger staff as well as the rising stars. Needs to establish a clear vision and strategy beyond current state.

    Advice to Management

Focus on productive associates and remove those who inhibit growth. Company is too focused on immediate shareholder dividends and short term returns. Needs to develop a broader and deeper strategy that shareholders and associates can align to versus react to.
