I worked at Lenovo

Pros

When right managent are involved it is a very satisfying environment to work.

Cons

Quite a bit of turnover at executive/decision maker level. Significant layoffs. New management do not work from a strength based approach but rather threaten to "put on plan" should one not hit their numbers.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that people are working 60+hour weeks and doing their best in a hard economy. Have a clear direction regarding marketing, products, and the reasons for doing so.

Lenovo is a great place to work - unfortunate that previous exec administration spent so much money on the Olympics

    I worked at Lenovo

    Pros

1st line management support was awesome. P3 bonus structure rewarded regular full-time employees and distibuted to employees twice a year. Some of the perks at Lenovo in Morrisville, NC include an on-site gym, employee cafeteria, coffee bar, juice bar, and flexibility to work remotely.

    Cons

Lenovo hires a lot of contractors. The contractors they like and would like to keep are converted to Long-Term Supplemental Employees - which means you do not get to particpate in all of the benefits including P3 Bonus payouts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do away with the Long-Term Supplemental Employee classification. Employees should either be contractors or full-time regular employees so that you have full engagment from all of the employees and less employee dissatisfaction.
