Pros

They really value ideas over titles and positions. If you've got a good idea and the drive to make it happen, they'll make it happen. Lots of opportunities to work directly with the high ups. Definitely got some huge momentum going on.

Cons

It is a big company so it's difficult to have so many people feel like they have to change the idea a little to prove they are doing their job.

    Pros

Leo Burnett employs some of the most passionate, creative professionals - bar none. The energy is amazingly positive and they do a great job of creating a fantastic work environment

    Cons

a business run by creative professionals is not a well run business. No one is held accountable for their commitments, budgets, etc resulting in tremendous inconsistency in how different departments treat, reward, and promote employees.

  2. Very account driven place. But, that's expected, I guess.

    Pros

    - Leo loves to win awards
    - vacation time, is vacation time
    - many accounts at Leo (McDonalds, Allstate, Norton, and Nintendo to name a few)

    Cons

    - Poor management on some accounts
    - It's hard to work across different accounts
    - work vs. life balance is not good on some accounts
    - some accounts don't work efficiently

    Advice to Management

My biggest issue is poor management. In many occasions there's a lot of time spent scrambling because the higher ups look at briefs/work a day or two before presenting to client. Which, means less time is spent concepting. Never makes sense to me.
