Leo Burnett – “Leo's "HumanKind" is a big idea (springing from a big pencil)”
1 of 1 people found this helpfulPros
Big name, big benefits, big ideas coming outta big pencils. I believe the work/life balance at Leo is better that at just about every other agency I know. Plus Leo's really on to something with their new brand purpose of HumanKind. It feels good to go to market with that, feels like we can really do some good. Revisions, our gym across the street, is a huge perk. Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance is the creme de la creme. Working for a French parent company, Publicis, means that vacation days are plentiful and the outlook is upbeat and global. I feel good telling people I work for Leo Burnett.
Cons
Leo's fighting an uphill battle to get recognized for digital thinking. But, alongside our sister company Arc Worldwide, we're truly some of the best digital and activation idea people out there. Also, because Leo's a behemoth company, we can move slowly. And arrogance is a bit of an epidemic that needs to be toned down companywide. Plus, one of our biggest clients is a tobacco company, and some people have an ethical issue with that. Also, business seems to be shriveling a bit outside of the Chicago corporate headquarters. We're known as a midwest company, with a midwest ethic and product.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep flying the HumanKind flag; you're onto something.
