I have been working at Leon's Furniture full-time for more than a year

    Pros

you can be yourself most of the time. You get out of it what you put into it.

    Cons

Long 12 hr days, boring stints in sales post, some GM's treat us like school children, Saturday morning too EARLY fruitless and repetitive meetings, more and more admin work pushed down to sales associates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

more computers in post, more flexible computer system, less sales associates on floor in less busy times, less heavy pushing of VAPS at detriment of selling product. Get more Deco-Rest product on floor!!

I worked at Leon's Furniture full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great environment, great people, easy work for those still in school, amazing chance to learn the basics of a company and how office politics and liner decisions are made

    Cons

Little to no advancement opportunity, management keeps changing, pay is very bad, very linear management style, office politics, confusing retail system, horrible product, horrible customer service

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give the younger and more eager recruits a chance to prove themselves, take the chance on these young ones rather thank continually hiring outside managers or promoting older less willing managers.
