I worked at Leon's Furniture full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Potential for a long term career, company does promote from within(it takes time)

Cons

Hours, weekends, Pay is not great considering that sales staff makes more money

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people that can impact sales and pay them more than sales people, if you do not think that they are worth the money keep looking. It makes no sense to have a supervisor that isn't paid more than the top sales person on the floor. This way you have blind leading the blind(in most stores)

I worked at Leon's Furniture full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The company advertises a lot and the store is busy.

    Cons

They hire management within but many are under qualified and need better training and people skills.
If you have one bad month regardless of if you are one of the top producers, you will be replaced in a heartbeat.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be careful with the management hiring process, they set the stage for the store.
