Pros

-Make good, strong friendships
-Great discount for employees
-Get time off when needed
-Decent store hours
-Huge amount of flexibility in the store

Cons

-Little chance for promotions unless willing to travel/move
-Only 5% pay raise possible yearly
-Often told to cut payroll, even during the busiest time of the year
-Strict, unrealistic, far removed upper management (above Store Manager)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't try to cut payroll, even when the stores are surpassing budget. Give more promotion opportunities from within the company. Give better raises.

    Pros

    Fun solving customers pool problems. Learned a lot about pools as one can imagine which was really helpful because I have a pool.

    Cons

    High company turnover. Low pay. Over emphasis on sales. Besides being forced to oversell customers there is little store associates can do to increase store sales. Stop blaming your associates and managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Increase the pay and hire more qualified people. How can you expect a quality manager with a base pay of $30,000 - $40,000 while other retail store managers make $50,000 - $65,000. The lack of quality in the employees reflects on the lack of compensation.
