Level 3 Communications Field Technician in Charlottesville, VA:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Compensation is okay and the 401k was.

Cons

This company has everyone on the front lines chasing their tails. Too busy figuring out what the next curve ball will be that is specifically designed to ensure the failure of every EO below the Director level. The processes in place that are designed to provide flow and consistency for the delivery of services have become a joke and a major obstacle. The fastest way to failure is to throw sand in the grease, Senior management has gone out of its' way to do this without any concern for the outcome.

Advice to Senior Management

Get out from behind your desk, shut off your PDA. Now get on the floor and in the field and SEE what is actually going one with this company. Senior Management is "DISCONNECTED" from the realities that take place from their decisions, it is absolutely mind bending the level of blind insanity that has been placed on the actual work force of this company.

Additionally, I would suspect that with all the RIFF's over the past couple of years, we now have entirely too many chief's working to hold on to a job that doesn't need them. RIFF's at the VP level and above would certainly reduce the garbage out of the corporate offices and add huge amounts of cash back into the operating budget.
