I worked at Levi Strauss part-time for more than a year

Pros

Some what fun work environment.
When offered flexible hours.

Cons

Management would completely ignore employee availability and schedule employees to work when it wasn't possible due to school.
Bad communication, management would say one thing and then do the complete opposite.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

When your employees give you their schedule actually look at it and then schedule them. Be aware of what your employees are doing so the store doesn't get robbed.

I worked at Levi Strauss full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Has excellent benefits and salaries, and work/life balance good.

    Cons

Lost some of the top operational people who could drive the on time delivery and quality products. Basics of training lost due to higher than normal turnover and lack of consistent training. In house training services non existent, previous political hierarchies have caused key personal departures in design. All critical to their continued success.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review the operations of the day to day business. Don't hire out to a consulting firm, utilize the senior managers with longevity with the company. The lust after the "outside" the box personnel should be balanced with strong business acumen. Upper management needs to be more involved in day to day

    Disapproves of CEO
