I worked at Leviton full-time for less than a year

Pros

Great benefits, environment was great, moved to Melville, NY

Cons

Late 2008, they announced no matching of 401K. Worked in Lake Success, so the physical environment was very old and dated looking. My coworkers were no more that 4 ft from me, no cublicles, so no privacy at all. Mananger I had was not very approachable at all. Wasn't there long enough to make an opinion of the job.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Training should be thorough and longer, not slapped together and throw the probies out into the sea.

I have been working at Leviton full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It's a lot like working at the government, a few nice people but nothing ever gets done.

    Cons

I'm embarrassed to tell people I work at Leviton. This is the most morale challenged company I've ever worked at. This starts with emotionally needy and unstable HR leadership and ends with Napoleon type czar sr. leadership. The other leadership here are just "yes" people. Why am I still here? I need a job so I can put my kids through school, but I hope in 2013 the economy improves so I can go elsewhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to get qualified sr. leadership who have goals, can inspire and motivate. Most important we need leaders which we lack.

    Disapproves of CEO
