I have been working at Levy Security Corporation full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great at hiring people. In this economy, everyone needs a job and I would reccommend this company for that.

Cons

Advancement within the company , a different subject. Some employees have languished in positions for years and feel unappreciated for the contributions they make on a daily basis.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

On the lower spectrum, move employees around, give long term employees the opportunity to move up in the organization i.e, officers to supervisors/shift mamagers and watch commanders or supervisors to directors.

I worked at Levy Security Corporation full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

You will get full/time employment at 40 hours a week.

    Cons

Often, upper management let property managers micro-manage security personnel at their sites for fear of losing money/contracts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most upper management should encourage, not discourage minorities from pursuing positions such as Vice President. Caucasians should not be the only race getting promoted to Vice Presidents positions when other races has the same qualifications. A minorities' salary as a Director of Security should match that of his/her Caucasian counterpart. Upper management should speak to property managers in regards to having their Directors work first shift vices third shift. Directors are not directing anyone by just filling the third shift. Upper management should also try to encourage property managers to have frequent meetings with their site Director. Often, upper management let property managers run security at their sites for fear of losing money/contracts. Upper management in lieu of property management should not display favoritism.
