Somewhat flexible schedule
Ability to work from home some as needed
Cons
I've not found that the people are all that great. Some are more hateful than those I use to have to audit. Most are not very helpful, more often I've found the attitude that it's not my job so leave me alone. Not really a good social chemistry either.
Not challenging and often very frustrating just getting information.
Doesn't feel like there is real leadership. Seems very shortsighted, not with much focus on the long term.
Solid basic processes are really lacking - much more just make it up as you go depending on how the wind is blowing that day, leading to a lot of reinventing the wheel for what are pretty regular requirements. Leads to so much unnecessary scrambling and fire-drilling. Again, get to the point and do it well.
I'm constantly reading that competitors are bringing new products to market, and LN products pretty much just seem to be in response, not really leading.
Internal technologies, communications, and customer service are really sub-par. Which seems so odd since those are the main products to external customers of the business. Didn't take long to figure out why the market doesn't want to do business with LN.
I could go on and on but most of the reviews are spot on.
Advice to Senior Management
Get honest with what's working, what's not, and what it means to do a great job, not just get the job done and barely stay afloat.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
