Cons

1. Senior management makes terrible investment decisions.
2. Senior management won't accept that it is no longer 1992 and we have very real problems.
3. Senior management does not take the action necessary to fix problems and innovate.
4. All decisions are highly political and disregard customer needs.
5. Highly matrixed organization means no accountability...anywhere...to anyone...ever.

Advice to Senior Management

Run the company like a *real* business. Each Division has a leader with specific goals and responsibilities. Each leader is responsible for his/her P&L....all aspects of it. When there are problems, listen to your people and take specific and visable action to fix them as soon as possible.
