Pros

Home Based work available
Flexible Work Schedules. Life/Work balance does exist.
Good facilities on campus.
Some newer technologies being used.
Local management (at least for me) cares about stress placed on us over the past few years.

Cons

Local management's hands are tied.
Senior Management does not appear to care. We are continually told to get on train or be left behind in spite of obviously poor direction we are given.
IT area is in a shambles since new Senior Management came into power.
Many departments have been consolidated, and then manpower reduced.
Workload for those that have been left behind has doubled and tripled since layoffs and outsourcing.
Many people have new titles, but still continue to do old work because no one really has any solid direction or even really knows what they should be doing.
Training doesn't exist. Can't get it.
No pay increase this year. And only 2% at most for preceeding 3 years.
Benefit cuts every year for past 5 years. Out of pocket expenses have more than quadrupled.

Advice to Senior Management

Better benefits options. Benefits used to be top notch, now most people use spouses coverage.
Pay increases. Something that helps us beat cost of living would be nice for a change.
Proper training for those of us that are expected to take on new workloads.
Listen to employees that have local experience and follow their suggestions
