Lexmark International – “Lexmark not a good company anymore”

Pros

Lexmark has a lot of good people working for it and currently produces a good and competitive printer product line.

Cons

Lexmark currently appears to be after only short term goals and exporting jobs to their off-shore locations where employees are much cheaper and much less experienced. So, while such moves may look good on a balance sheet, I fear that they are losing valuable experience for short term gains. Because of these types of moves morale is very low.

Advice to Senior Management

Management needs to risk something more than its employees' welfare. They need to take personal risks and show that they are capable of leading the company to the benefit of all employees, not just their benefit.
