Current Employee – been working at Lexmark
Pros – Lexmark is a laid back workplace and you can work flexible hours. Many intelligent people work there but unfortunately nobody listens to them.
Cons – The company's motto is 'Customer for life' but it is disturbing how little Lexmark actually knows or cares about its customers.
Lexmark does not understand what a quality product is. They think short term and would rather put out a fire than prevent it in the first place.
They do not care about the quality of their employees either. They offshore many positions so they can pay less but more often than not these offshore engineers create more debt than revenue. Lexmark also has many senior engineers who made themselves the 'point' person for everything, therefore management thinks they are 'it'. These 'engineers' will override any and every decision or idea someone new might want to bring forward.
Advice to Senior Management – Restructure the big silos so knowledge can flow more freely between areas of the company.
Try to retain quality engineers.
