I worked at Liberty Global full-time (more than an year)

Pros

A few good people but they don't stay long in the company

Cons

- unprofessional work environment (familiarity, everyone dating each other, after party people come to work late etc.)
- mess in every department, no one knows what their role is
- toxic environment, people work long hours, it is very common people shouting at each other, sometimes it even gets physical
- management gives promises and never realizes them
- many people are not qualified to do their job
- many people have been in the company for years and prevent new comers improving the processes
- commute (to far from the train station)
- I can go on and on

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people who actually know technology and how to manage people. Make sure your managers know the company's product! Stop having meetings about meetings! Be responsible and accountable for your work and your team.

    I have been working at Liberty Global full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    It is the type of company, big enough to pursue any IT carrier opportunity you would like. Represents the headquarters of european operations. If you are good you will be noticed and compansated.

    Cons

    Could put more accent on people development, but it is a direction which is taken..and steps are done already toawards this goal. This in the light of comparing it with working in the IT consultancy industry which puts a higher focus on this topic.
