I worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance as an intern for less than a year

Pros

* Training
* Competitive Pay
* Mentors
* NIce company environment

Cons

* location (very limited for IT intern/ new hires)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you plan on having interns maybe having a plan before they come, so we're not doing just busy work halfway through the program. I learned a lot of valuable lessons, but I felt like I could've been challenged a little bit more.

    Current Employee - Surety in Seattle, WA

    I have been working at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Large Worldwide Footprint
    Premium Growth is steady
    Opportunities for entry level people looks bright

    Cons

    Most Corporate Jobs are in Boston
    Technology is a slow painful upgrade process
    Performance overall by your group weighs heavy on bonus - so one year the bouns could be big, and the next year could be significantly smaller - you did great work both years, but that is not a driver.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't forget the workerbees - taking away perks with no bump in pay = bad for morale
