I worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good people, mostly good management, some of the EVPs and Presidents are very well intentioned but a bit too focused on the short term and $$$ to realize that the changes are not necessary in the best interest of the employees and the long term

    Cons

In addition to the above, very much a "club" of those who have been there a long time and typically just for men. HR is overly processed oriented and can be rude. Culture is so polite not sure what is being said or if work is really getting done at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open eye's more equally to long-term changes -- what are you truly good at? Stick to it. Open eyes to the "clubs" and the polite culture which is not productive and actually counter-productive.
