Pros

Training is excellent. Make sure that you find out what the top sales reps in your office are doing to gain business and then mimic it. The benefits are great!

Cons

Sitting in a cubicle! If you don't know what you are doing or if you aren't motivated and entreprenurial, you won't enjoy this job, or make money.

Advice to Management

I've heard that some managers are not the greatest. The Austin office has a great manager who was previously a top selling rep.

    Pros

The company tends to hire employees within the company first. The benefits package good as well as the time off.

    Cons

Your yearly performance measured by a "QA team", but they are really your peers with some having less years experience than you.

    Advice to Management

micro management overwhelming at times. All phone calls are recorded, listened to, played to the office to listen to and then finally evaluated by your manager once a month. Your grade every month is then added to your yearly performance numbers.

Stable but very stressful, with good chance of being laid off if you do well

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Strong process potential
Good communication across company departments - goals and vision
Stable job if you get to remain with the company
    Interesting coworkers with heart
    Decent pay and decent benefits
Strives to be industry leader with potential - Insurance sector

    Cons

    Strong process inconsistently applied
Poor communication between upper mgmt to middle mgmt to line mgmt
Many high achievers and talented professionals are laid off to restructure cost
    Performance reviews are fairly useless
    Decreasing pay and decreasing benefits
Job and project integration/progress looks much better on paper than in real implementation
Unnecessary stress at work across multiple departments due to avoidable process churn, carelessness, and inadequate resources

    Advice to Management

Recognize true value vs total cost (TCO) in resources (people, time, and tools) instead of short-sighted budget numbers to make executive reports look good at the cost of personnel loss, project stress, brand-risk, professional competence/diligence, and not doing the best you can do.
