Pros – *fantastic product
*fantastic department manager, womenswear
*daily bread scheme
*diverse, regular clientele--A-list celebs, fabulously wealthy foreigners, lovely 'normal' people making investment or special occassion purchases, serious holiday invites to customers homes abroad

Cons – *department managers stretched too thin to manage the shop floor properly
*no 'supervisors', therefore no room for promotion between sales associate/brand specialists and assistant managers.
*loss prevention very stressful and difficult to manage--invest in security team and stop blaming overwhelmed staff in understaffed rooms!
*commission could be higher--but hey, that's London for you! 1% of your sales not worth it...
*sale customers (no we are not getting it back in stock, it's in clearance and the end of season!)
*little opportunity to move from shop floor into other departments like web, buying, wholesale, etc.

Advice to Senior Management – dear CEO, please give your department managers the support they need and quit pretending that ship lifting isn't a big deal. look at your shrink, it is truely shocking. hire some more security guards and more your tills!
