I worked at Liberty Travel

Pros

Everyone makes 30,000 plus benefits. You do have the opportunity to make more money but the goals are set too high especailly for the person who does not have a sales background.

Cons

If you are right out of college you have alot of friends who may want to go on vacation. If you are older you may not have as many friends. It takes 3 yrs to have repeat clients. Instead of letting go those people who do not make their goals, review how they sell to a client and give them suggestions on how to close the sale.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take into account how many transactions employees do along with the commission goal. If you have a good worker, who doesn't make mistakes, works well with others, but can't make their goals figure out why instead of letting that person go.

I have been working at Liberty Travel

    Pros

-you will learn a lot if you want about destinations, airlines, hotels, tours, etc.
-you might meet some good people and make friends

    Cons

Too stressful, agents have to handle everything - calls, walk-ins, emails, financial jobs, side jobs. You will do sales, too much of computer stuff - working in 4 different systems. Managers contradict one another, 'trying to help'. No time for breaks, too much stress for a little money, - the worst experience ever, horrible. You are not a person, you are a number. You don't make money - you're out. Keep in mind - to make money, you have to mark up the prices that clients can check online themselves. As a result, clients hate you and you cannot sell anything ...

    Pros

If your young, single and can devote every waking hour to your job than you will LOVE it. Great travel benefits, great opportunity to make good $$

    Cons

You are merely a number, not a person, its all about the $$ and how the company can make more.
No family/work balance and beware, if your not buttering the bread then your out, they dont sugar coat a thing and trust me they dont lose sleep over it either.
