Only "Christian" in the Antebellum sense

Monkey-Suited Minion (Current Employee)
Cleveland, TN

ProsIf you've ever said "Thank you Sir; may I have another" in college, then you'll have no problem fitting in here.

Co-workers are mostly friendly and everyone is encouraged to do "Whatever it takes, and then some."

Charity participation is 100%

The quarterly associate luncheons are nice.

ConsManagement is extremely ossified and resistant to change.Their mens dress code is straight out of "Mad Men." Skirts, heels and corsets would be mandatory for the women if the EEOC would let them get away with it.

Most corporate positions are salaried, but there's no flex-time, comp-time or other soft compensation for working overtime. Having to come back in at 7:00 and work until Midnight is no excuse for not being at your desk at 8:00 the next morning.

Upper management functions almost exclusively on the "good-old-boys network" and rarely lets the rank and file know about changes in company direction. There's also a huge amount of cronyism, unwritten rules and sacred cow individuals. Interdepartmental communication is highly discouraged.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake 360-degree feedback reviews mandatory instead of only at the manager's request.

Allow flex-time or some other compensation for working overtime.

Put in some sort of feedback or suggestion process to allow inter-departmental collaboration.

Staff and residents were great...a very rewarding experience.

    Registered Nurse (Former Employee)
    Altamonte Springs, FL

I worked at Life Care Centers

Pros: Encouragement to advance professionally. Some flexibility with scheduling. Upper management was a little obsessive,… Cons: DON micro-managed the nursing managers and staff. Advice to Senior Management: A little too much authoritarianism in upper management. Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
